As someone who is scared of shooting on manual. I found this to be really helpful. Autumn was patient and answered our many questions. I enjoyed walking and experimenting.

There were only three of us and that was very helpful because Autumn could help each of us navigate our specific camera. She explained things very well and was patient with each of us. I learned alot!

Adam was great in explaining camera function to a newbie. Easy laid-back atmosphere, yet productive. I left understanding my camera functions, at a basic level.

It was a beautiful fall day with the leaves changing. I was in a picture taking mood and head West from my house with no destination. I saw this old barn surrounded by turning trees and thought it would be a great shot. Looks like I was right.

I have always played around with landscape photography, especially for family vacations. This particular photo came about because I was trying to learn lighting and wanted to teaching myself a new skill, 1/64 Diecast photography and editing. The trick, I could only use my computer screen the background, two Neewer lights, Nikon D750, and a kit lens (18-55mm?. The color and model of this called for a raining London background. After a quick Google search and a few snaps, we had this image. Post

I took this photo of my son while shooting senior prom photos. During the shoot I noticed this mirror and a vintage chorded phone. I thought shooting the photo with a reflection showing empty hallway behind him was a metaphor for loneliness.

I have taken hundreds of photos from a friend's condo on the 20th floor of Plaza Towers. The images span all seasons and day/night times. Most are taken with very nice cameras and lenses. This image, however, was taken with an iPhone 12 and, after a few adjustments in Lightroom, is a favorite. September 17, 2024 - 7:09 PM (sunset at 7:48 PM).

I originally uploaded this with the text description "exomalopsis", which is a genus of bees that includes the Eucerni tribe known as longhorns bees. Boy bee slumber party describes what is going on in the photo. The longhorn bees are known for the males engaging in "aggregate sleeping", which is what is seen in this photo. We planted native cup plants on our property a few years ago. They have been terrific hosts for various native insects. These longhorn bees just chose the cup plant flowe

Visiting the John Bell Zoo for the first time while visiting my parents. Enjoyed the zoo so much I can back the very next day. The highlight of my visit was seeing the Lynx kits running and playing in their outdoor habitat. I spend half the day watching and photography of them. In the photo, you see one of the kits finally taking a moment to rest but at the same time sees the size of my camera - Fuji GFX100.

I met young Miles at Ellis Square while he was doing some rather gymnastic break dancing. Luckily, for me, I was using my Nikon Z7 which allowed me to switch from raw to jpeg giving me 9 frames per second on motor drive. I was shooting aperture preferred and used f/8 the resulting shutter speed was 1/1600 of a second. 9fps sounds fast but I only had 6 nicely composed shots out of 120 exposures.

I had spent the better part of the day moving silently through the edges of the chase looking to photograph deer. It was one of those days that seemed perfect on paper: overcast skies that softened the light, barely a breath of wind, and a camera battery at full charge. But nature is nothing if not humbling. The deer remained ghost-like, unseen despite hours of quiet patience and soft steps.By late afternoon my hopes had dimmed so I began the slow walk back to the car. The path wound through

CPKC Rail Engine 9350 plus one heading east out of Winnipeg to deliver it's freight to Eastern Canada and possibly countries beyond on this beautiful summer day. Engine 9350 is a Diesel/Electric Locomotive which was built in February 2012 by General Electric and produces 4400HP which is capable to propel it to a top speed of 75mph. I love to photograph trains whenever I get a chance. To me they are iconic.
